Who is Ashley Mills Music?

Ashley Mills Monaghan
Ashley Mills Monaghan is an award-winning children’s musician, author, songwriter, and music educator with more than 20 years of experience working with young children. A former preschool educator, Ashley combines her background in early childhood education with original music, movement, instruments, storytelling, and creative play to help children discover the joy of making music.
Through Ashley Mills Music, she currently leads music enrichment programs in preschools and community programs throughout Los Angeles, including her hands-on Music Lab, where children explore rhythm, melody, instruments, songwriting, sound, and even the process of creating and recording their own music. She also teaches interactive caregiver-and-child music classes and performs for libraries, schools, and children’s events.
As a recording artist and songwriter, Ashley’s music has received international recognition through the International Songwriting Competition, Funky Kids Radio, Kinderling Kids Radio, School Library Journal, and others. Her albums 'Good Times' and Mom's Choice Gold Winner pick 'Super Duper Awesome Day' appeared on the initial Grammy® Awards ballot for Best Children’s Music Album, and her songs have earned multiple songwriting awards and nominations. Her creative work has also included music for film and animation and performing as the voice of Antoinette the Ant for Bugs! Tonies®.

Ashley continues to write and record new children’s music inspired by the children she teaches every week. She is a member of the Children’s Music Network, ASCAP, and The Recording Academy.
